HOT-MELT LAMINATION

ROLL TO ROLL LAMINATION

ROLL TO SHEET LAMINATION

We can adhere many materials together through the lamination process.

At L-S Industries, we use hot-melt laminators to adhere two different materials together. We can laminate just about any material but specialize in various foams and fabrics as well as corrugated plastic. We can laminate roll to roll and roll to sheet, depending on the material.

Our laminating capabilities include two main solutions:

  • Roll-to-roll lamination—We laminate two rolled materials together using a hot-melt adhesive. We can run it back through to laminate on both sides of the material if needed.
  • Roll-to-sheet lamination—Roll to sheet lamination requires a little more handling but can be done to provide that custom look, feel, or function you require.
  • Roll over the edge on sheet lamination — We can fold the fabric over one edge so it rolls over what becomes the top edge of a partition set.
Purpose: Primarily for partition sets — buyers use 2 mm board or sheets, die cut, and fold over to get a smooth edge.
Benefit: Avoids “cuticle catchers” on plastic corrugation sets that can injure when reaching over.
Strength: Folding 2 mm board makes 4 mm strength, but rolling over the edge of 4 mm gives the same benefit without doubling material.
Requires a specific die-cut method to allow the edge to stay rolled over.

Materials

PLASTIC CORRUGATED

We stock both rolls and sheets of plastic corrugated. Both can easily be laminated to add features such as additional impact protection or a non-scratch surface.

FOAMS

Closed-cell foam and Crosslink foam are two that we laminate fairly regularly to plastic corrugated for a variety of applications.

FABRICS

We stock fabrics such as spunbond, Evolon, Brushed Nylon, etc. which create a non-scratch surface on plastic corrugated board. Visit our Fabrics page for more details.

SOMETHING NEW

We are continually looking for new materials to laminate for new applications. Contact us for a trial run.

Our laminating services offer two main values: quick turnaround time and a southeastern shipping location. We stock many materials like spunbond, Evolon, brushed nylon, and more, along with plastic corrugate, which helps with the quick turnaround times. We can provide pricing, usually within a day, and we are willing to quote smaller quantities for prototypes and trial runs.

We have received rave reviews about the quality of our sheets. To learn more about our laminating capabilities, to request a sample, or to place an order, please reach out to us today.
